Tuesday Bible Study 11:30-12:30
Join us each Tuesday in the Youth/Community Room as we read and contemplate the lessons assigned for the upcoming Sunday in the Lectionary (you can find what is coming listed in each week's e-news).
People bring their own Bible from home (or use one of the ones there in the room). We LOVE it when there are various translations to compare, so bring whatever you like to work with.
We read each passage aloud, and then compare reactions and other information that we know about it. The Rector often offers some historical or theological background to assist in our exploration. But this group meets whether the Rector is in town or not! We each bring our own gifts to the discussion.
Coffee and tea are always consumed, and sometimes a member of the group brings something to share to snack on. If you need to bring a bagged lunch along so that you can take part - that's how this group began! It started as the "Brown Bag Bible Study" and nobody cares if you need to eat while we meet. This is a low-key, welcoming, easy group!
Conversation is so great in this group that we often run late, but if you need to leave on time (or early) that happens very often as well - come and go as you can.
Please enter through the Youth/Community Room Door (on Church St alley - near the double glass doors for the Hogan Room)
