Education for Ministry
Calling all serious thinkers who enjoy engaging in challenging biblical inquiry and theological reflection.
The Education for Ministry (EFM) program is a four (4) year program designed by the University of Sewanee School of Theology. The first year is a study of the Old Testament; the second year is New Testament; the third is a History of Christianity; and the fourth year is Modern Christianity and Ethics. Although the years are in sequence, you only commit to a year at a time. Each class session is two and a half hours of serious Bible study and church history, with a strong emphasis on theological reflection - how is God speaking within our culture, our tradition, and our lives?
EFM meets Tuesday mornings from 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM in the Youth & Community Room.
